![]() ![]() Otherwise most Flamethrower loadouts works fine with either level 5 perk. If you really want to run C&B late game (which is viable once you get ground fire) you might need High Capacity Fuel Tank. C&B should be upgraded to Flamethrower asap when you're starting out, mainly due to the range and 2x ammo it offers. There's a lot of t2&3 firebug weapons that are fun to toy with, but can't fit on a Flamethrower build very well. Feel free to take out QPs coming at you with them too, but really try not to enrage/burn scrakes and FPs. They all have good enough dmg to take out all medium zeds and handle well imo. Some good weapons I'd advise pairing with the Flamethrower would be Helios Rifle, HRG Dragonsblaze, or Husk Cannon. ![]() Once you hit level 10 pick up Groundfire and you'll really see the strength of this perk. Start out with caulk & burn to flamethrower in every loadout, and then feel free to move away from that as you get experience in the perk. The only thing you can mess up as Firebug is by targeting large zeds. If you like Demo, Firebug might be good for you as a less aim-heavy AoE perk. Watch some YouTube, reading some guides/tips and learn some takedowns or just watching how other good players play and trying to mimic or learn their habits also all helps.ĭefinitely practice with the other perks on lower difficulties. What helps me practice the most is sitting on a map like kf-corridor and playing a perk like gunslinger/sharpshooter/support/commando and practicing my headshot accuracy, killing things as fast as I can, learning to understand prioritization as in always knowing what to kill first etc, knowing what weapons to switch and use during certain situations, the faster you learn to process all of this is what will help you in a real game using the knowledge from playing these “harder” perks Once you start getting better at these perks, it will also drastically increase your experience overall as a player and you’ll find yourself playing those things like medic/demo/firebug at a more advanced level. Perks that are a little more skill based can be a little more difficult to play at first but that’s what they are, the more you play them, the better you get at them and honestly they teach you a little more about the game compared to playing easier perks that teach you literally nothing. You won’t learn until you actually put in the time. Practice makes perfect like everyone’s already mentioned.
